When You Don’t Know What to Pray

Sermon Series:

“When You Don’t Know What to Pray”

Text: Romans 8:26–27

When you don’t know what to pray, the Spirit prays for you.

I. Our Weakness in Prayer Is Expected

II. When Words Fail, God Still Hears

III. The Spirit Intercedes for Us

IV. God Meets You in the Mess, Not After It

God is already moving—even when you don’t have the words.

You don’t need:

  • Better vocabulary
  • More impressive prayers
  • Perfect focus

You need:

  • A willingness to stay.
  • To sit in His presence.
  • To whisper “Father…”
  • To let the Spirit do what you cannot.

“Stay Anyway” Prayer Challenge

When prayer feels:

Awkward → Stay

Silent → Stay

Emotional → Stay

Even if all you can pray is:

“God… I don’t have words today.”
